An immersive winter experience in the Stelvio National Park: you’ll walk through snow-covered forests in search of traces of wild animals, then reach a mountain hut where you’ll light a fire and enjoy a traditional mountain barbecue with a spectacular view.

During the hike, you’ll be able to spot signs of deer, foxes, and other forest dwellers. At the hut, you’ll experience the authentic mountain atmosphere — a crackling fire, the scent of the grill, and breathtaking views over the Val di Peio.

WHAT WE SUPPY

Transportation from the Ursus Adventures Center in Ossana to the starting point of the hike will be provided. Snowshoes or crampons can be supplied depending on snow and ground conditions, accompanied by a certified Alpine Guide. The barbecue at the hut includes either a classic menu (1 sausage, 1 bacon slice, 1 pork chop, 1 lucanica sausage, bread, water, coffee, and grappa) or a vegetarian menu (grilled cheese, grilled vegetables, bread, water, coffee, and grappa).

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

Suitable for everyone, starting from 12 years old.

EQUIPMENT/CLOTHING

This activity takes place in the woods so requires suitable thermal clothing, a backpack, a water bottle, and waterproof winter boots. 

WHERE

Meeting point at the Ursus Adventures Center in Ossana (TN).

IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER

The activity will take place regardless, even in case of rain or snowfall.
