The old mountain shelter located at Malga Campo, thanks to the collaboration with the S. Michele Museum, has now become a museum and it can be reached by following the forestry road from the hamlet called Celentino in Val di Peio. Malga Campo in Celentino, located at a height of 1.975 m has been recently renovated, but the old shepherd’s shelter has been left just like it was centuries ago, a symbol of the centuries of agricultural mountain history in the area. You can still see the open-hearth fireplace, the enormous cauldron that was used to produce cheese and the area where the shepherds slept.
